And that’s one of the reasons why I started offering a regular 15-minute online workout every morning. We need support, we need motivation, we need to feel part of a community that’s how humans are and that’s why it’s important.

Just 15 minutes a day is all we need to improve our health, feel better and help us to get back into shape. What’s more, it’s fun! You can look forward to a daily shred that’s simple, down-to-earth and motivational.
Whether we want to get back into shape, improve our fitness or get stronger, starting and maintaining a daily routine is key. So we want to make it EASY!
To ensure success we need to start where we are, do what we can. Getting started and building a short easy-to-do workout into our routine is the only thing that matters at the beginning. Other larger successes will follow, but we have to get started.
Hi, I’m Jo
I’m a fourty-five-year-old mother of two. I have spent most of my adult life inspiring kids and adults through our martial arts lessons, and have coached taekwondo in the community now since 1996.
I’m a 3rd dan black belt in taekwondo, marathon runner and fitness instructor.

Experienced Trainer
I’ve been teaching sports and fitness to adults and children since 1996 through our martial arts lessons and kick-ass training program. I’ve taught in schools, gyms, church halls and now at home. Don’t worry, you’re in good hands.

Black Belt
I can hardly believe it myself, but I am a 3rd dan black belt in taekwondo and have been teaching for many years.

Marathon Runner
I have run a huge number of half and full marathons and was even featured on the BBC after rescuing a fellow runner in the London Marathon.

The September Shred starts on the 14th. Every day (apart from Sunday) I do a live shred. You can either join me live or do it later in the day whenever you have time. You have all the flexibility you need.
We all take our measurements at the beginning of the shred and again four weeks later when the month ends.

Who’s it for?
Anyone can join in, but you’ll probably feel most at home if you’re aged between 40 and 60. I’m edging towards 50 myself now, so you’ll be at home with me.

I signed up to the summer shred experiment on a whim and I’m so glad I did! I had been wanting to go back to exercising for so long, but was always finding excuses (lack of time, of energy, etc.) I thought 15 minutes a day, that’s easy to fit in, even with the kids around. And it really was! After a month, I’ve more energy, I feel better mentally and physically, and it made me want to do more (hello, July running challenge!).
I really like Jo’s down-to-earth attitude, she suffers with us through the tougher exercises and provides lots of encouragement. There’s lots of punching and kicking in the workouts, they’re my favourite exercises. I got my husband to join, and he’s feeling much better too we’re both looking forward to the July shred!
Before I joined the Ultimate Summer Shred Experiment I was so out of condition and feeling miserable being unable to get in any of my clothes. However, since joining the Ultimate Summer shred Experiment I feel I have more energy and I feel so much more confident to carry on more and more.
As I began to exercise I realised how unfit I was and this encouraged me more. I am a determined person and I like the challenge. The June challenge really spurred me on and Jo’s workouts are doable and I was able to build up my strength day after day.
I now feel I am reaping the benefits with feeling happier in myself and building towards an even bigger and better challenge. Come on July bring it on.
Just want to say a massive THANK YOU to Joanne Graham. She is holding 15-minute fitness classes on Facebook at 10 am. Me and the kids and my sister and nephew have been Skyping and doing the workout together every morning, with varying degrees of success, some tantrums and some injuries, lots of shouting and whingeing but mainly just a sweaty laugh!

I stuck with it (most days lol) but that’s the most exercise I’ve done since I hurt my back July last year & it really gave me the bug back!
???? Those 15mins a day pass so fast & have deffo made me feel fitter & healthier & more like the ‘pre back injury’ me.
I’ve lost 2″ off my fat poochy bit below my belly button & 2″ off my waist, I’m guna do some catch-up shreds till Sunday then I’m away for a week but will b back with u after that.

I can’t stress enough how little exercise I was doing before and so what a huge chnage you’ve helped me make! I’d dragged myself through Couch25k but other than that nothing in lockdown at all and I used to say I hated home workouts.
I was embarrassed even to exercise while everyone was at home! Now I’m up most mornings to do it live, or catch up later. I’m probably never going to love exercising but seeing my progress, the group enthusiasm and your encouragement is priceless.

Only lost half an inch on my thigh & arm but as you say that’s not what it is all about. I’ve committed to this and feeling a sense of achievement from getting every single one of the workouts done.
